Top 3 Benefits of Jade Facial Rollers
When it comes to exquisite natural skin care, oftentimes the ancient ways will point us in the right direction and jade facial rollers have been around for at least 1,000 years.
Jade rollers are effective, inexpensive, and have a mystique that is hard to quantify. They are used for keeping the skin healthy, elastic, and youthful. When used consistently on a daily or almost daily basis, you should notice a changes in a few weeks.
Here are the top 3 benefits of using jade rollers:
1) Jade Rollers are detoxifying
How are they detoxifying?
The act of rolling and massaging the skin with the rollers increases circulation and helps the lymphatic system to carry away toxins. With increased blood and lymph flow, you can count on a renewal of cells and moving the toxins away more quickly.
Increasing blood flow effectively brings more oxygen to the surface which can help improve skin tone.
Detoxifying the skin will lead to more brightness, clarity, and glow in your complexion.
2) Increases Chi
With the flow of fresh blood, chi is also brought to the face. Chi is life force energy and prevents stagnation (which makes the complexion sallow).
In addition to increased Chi, jade rollers are cooling in the summer and can be made to be warming in the winter (by removing the stones and placing in warm water). This helps us to remain balanced when seasonal extremes are present.
3) Anti-Aging Properties
All this detoxing and increase of Chi leads to what we call “anti-aging”. Really, what that means is keeping the skin in the healthiest state possible. It is seen as less puffiness, decrease in lines, tightening of the skin, and better muscle tone through the massage action.
The natural anti-inflammatory property of the jade roller will also help to reduce redness, sensitive skin, and other signs of skin irritation.
All this from a natural, healing stone and a 5-10 minute daily ritual!

I also decided to carry my own brand of Jade Facial Rollers because I love them so much! You can read more and purchase here.
How to Create a Natural Skin Care Routine: Easily + Affordably
Natural skin care is super easy. Really.
Developing an inexpensive and effective natural skin care routine for yourself can be simple and quick.
We can use oils, clays, essential oils, herbs, and other ingredients to cover all of our skin needs and know that what is going on our skin is healthy. It also doesn’t have to be super pricey and in a nice bottle.
Oftentimes, the active ingredients in expensive branded products are in very low percentages which makes them less effective.
Now, a well-made finished natural product is quite convenient and sometimes that is more important than anything else. I get it. I am not knocking using formulated and packaged products, I have some that I use and love as well.
I am just letting you know that creating a natural skin care routine can be super easy and not costly at all.
In this video, I talk about how you can get started on that path. Check it out here:

How to Deal with ANY Skin Issue Naturally
Ok. I love helping people learn how to care for their bodies and skin naturally, using very basic ingredients. I also get a thrill from sharing my experiments and hearing about your recipes and formulas.
Most often, people seek out natural solutions when they are having skin issues. Some of the biggest ones that I hear about are acne, eczema, dry skin (hormonal or menopausal), psoriasis, dark spots, and rosacea. Are you with me there?
There absolutely ARE herbs, oils, powders, and other ingredients that will be specific for each of these conditions.
I discovered natural skin care after dealing with severe cystic acne as a teenager. These are some keys that I would have loved to have access to at that age!
My passion then grew as I realized how when combined with lifestyle practices, natural skin care is the way to go for anti-aging / youthing. I see this as maintaining the optimum health of the skin for the longest period of time. Nothing wrong or bad about aged skin and it is inevitable eventually. However, it is fun to realize that we have some control there (and it doesn’t need to be super expensive and time-consuming).
AND before using anything really specific for a CONDITION, you really want to make sure you get the basics straight. In this video, I go over some critical keys to using natural products for skin conditions. Let me know what you think and your experiences.
If you are vibing with the message in this video, you will probably really love my course Wild Style Body Care Academy ™: THE BASICS COURSE.

Your Most Pressing Skin Needs, Vaginal Steaming, + Magical Hair
I have taken a hiatus from new posts and have been expanding my knowledge in areas around body care, youthing (anti-aging) techniques, Tantra, and more. I’ve been really busy with getting a bodywork practice going and it is going well. The last year, I have worked with over 300 clients!
I have still been publishing about natural body care, however, and following are three articles that I have written.
Before posting the links to those articles, I want to let you know I am currently working on a new natural skin care course which will cover skin care anti-aging techniques and practices in depth. It will be stellar. If you want to keep up-to-date on the development of it, please sign up below.
It will be the main way to learn about the course as soon as it is released.
So, now the pieces!
In The Magical Powers of Your Hair, I go over the top 3 more esoteric beliefs around hair. With these in mind, it gives a picture of where a hair problem could be stemming from if you have tried everything else. It doesn’t mean that short or long hair is better, which is how a few people interpreted the article. Basically, this discusses some core ideas around the power of hair and how it can be connected to other areas of life.
“In Japanese traditions, hair is considered to contain the life essence and is a repository of fertility. It is believed that long hair is more sexually charged and potent. In Taoist traditions, it is said that for men, excessive emissions will lead to hair loss and premature aging.”
Follow up in that series is 5 Ancient Secrets To Seductive, Shiny & Incredibly Beautiful Hair
In this I go over tips around the best times to cut and care for your hair, brushing for thicker and healthier hair and more.
Finally, I wrote one more piece on Vaginal Steaming.
Have you heard of it? Not skin care related but certainly pulls aspects of body care together, haha! V-steaming has been around for a long time and is being resurrected as a health and wellness technique.
In it, I go over 10 herbs that are often used for the steam and their main purposes.
Awesome. Well, I hope you love those articles.
And as a reminder, if you want to learn about the upcoming comprehensive anti-aging course, be sure to sign up.

How to Get the Freshest Argan Oil for Skin + Hair Now
Argan oil is some hot stuff. It’s loaded with vitamin E and fatty acids. It’s liquid gold peeps. Learn how you can get the freshest at the bottom of this post.
The anti-oxidants in argan oil make it a super anti-aging (known as youthing around here) oil and also excellent for healing scarred or otherwise damaged or uneven skin. Argan oil comes from the argan tree (Argania spinosa) and is native to the semi-desert Sous valley of southwestern Morocco and to the Algerian region of Tindouf in the western Mediterranean region.
It is therefore, a tree well-adapted for dry and arid climate, which informs it’s cosmetic use as well.
Its energetics are light to medium weight and the temperature is about neutral.
This means it is excellent for dry, normal, or oily skin, with the vitamin E, squalene, carotenoids, essential fatty acids, and polyphenols making it premier for youthing, and also healing acne and acne scars.
Here is a list of excellent uses of argan oil:
• Anti-aging for the skin
• Heal acne, acne scars, and blemishes
• Lightens stretch marks
• Strengthens nails
• Makes hair soft and cools down frizz
• Useful to soothe itchy, dry skin
• Used to treat eczema
Why Am I Saying This Is the Freshest?
A lovely manufacturer friend from Morocco sent me some of the finest argan oil I’ve the pleasure of experiencing. Its color is yellow to gold and the scent is this delicious nutty smell, almost reminds me of fresh coffee beans. The oil is from wildcrafted nuts friends!
His name is Lkhdar and his operation is a family affair. The argan trees grow naturally as part of the ecosystem there, the nuts are collected, and then they (Lkhdar and about four women) process them into oil. The oil is cold-pressed, unrefined, and not heated so that it retains all its natural deliciousness.
How to Use Argan Oil
I love to use argan oil in the morning or night, applied to damp skin on the face and neck. For an extra boost, add some carrot seed essential oil or retinyl palmitate (applied only at night).
Love on This Natural Hair Loss Remedy: the Silver Grapeseed Elixir
So in my previous post about natural hair care, I shared how I discovered Morrocco Method, the most awesome hair care company thus far. To be fair, the prices are not meek :) but the product is worth it. (Read to the end to learn how you can get an elixir for free- also a perfect gift for someone you love).
To recap, I was having some hair loss to the point where I could see my scalp a lil too much. I’ve always had thinner hair on the top (which is a Pitta hair pattern) so losing any of it was an issue. It’s super scary to experience hair falling out and feeling powerless over doing anything about it.
The Silver Grapeseed Elixir is part of the Beginner Series of restoring elixirs. It is best if used in conjunction with other products and techniques, detailed here.
Let me say, the scent is amazingly refreshing and lovely. It’s like a cross between a light cologne and a high note floral. The bottle is sleek and SILVER of course. It is in a convenient pump bottle for easy application.
To use it, you just pump once into the hairline and other areas where you are seeing thinning and then massage it in lightly. You want to do this before bed so that it has a chance to soak in.
Does It Work?
Last year, it made a huge difference and baby hairs began growing back about a week or two after I finished the bottle (treatment is about a week).
This year, the baby hairs started coming in right away, seriously like the next day after first treatment.
You definitely need to address the underlying imbalance. Stress, hormones, and candida are common culprits behind hair loss. Creating a holistic self-care plan which includes products, foods, and practices will yield the best results, just like anything in life.
However, with just cutting out chemical body and hair care and replacing with the most powerful natural products out there, you will see results!
Here is a list of what to use the Silver Grapeseed Elixir for:
• Anyone experiencing hair loss or hair fall
• Balancing oily scalp
• Promoting healthy hair renewal
I’m super excited to continue using MM products and get more into following their Lunar Hair Chart. I have full faith that following the protocol they suggest will create the healthiest scalp and hair possible. Everyone’s hair is different, so it is about bringing each of us to our full hair potential.

How to Use Pearl Powder for Best Results
Pearl Powder is an anti-aging, refining, make your skin glow powder that you will want to try. Click here if you didn’t get a chance to read 3 Gorgeous Ways Pearl Powder Can Transform Your Skin.
Now that you have a good idea of why to use pearl powder, let’s talk about how to use it for best results.
3 Ways to Use Pearl Powder
1) Mix Per Use
An easy and quick way to use Pearl is to mix it up as you go. This is great if you want to try it, or don’t have a good way to mix a big batch at once. It is also sweet to make sure you are using enough.
- Use it in the morning.
- After cleansing and toning, feed the skin with oil.
- Allow that to absorb some.
- Then put ½ to 1 teaspoon of pearl powder on the palm of your hand and put as much cream as you normally use. Which cream you use is up to you, it is more for the carrier effect that you need it. You could also use an oil.
- Mix the cream and the pearl powder together in your hand. You’ll have a white, opaque mix.
- Put a streak on your forehead, both cheeks, chin, and upper lip and nose. Then work that out evenly in upward strokes until it is blended smoothly. Apply some on your neck as well.
2) Pre-Mix a Big Batch
- You want ½ to 1 teaspoon of pearl powder per application. You will have to some math to figure out how much you need to add.
>>>>>>1 teaspoon = 2 grams<<<<<<<
- Use the same amount of cream (about ½ to 1 teaspoon), so basically you are adding equal parts pearl powder to your cream base.
>>>>>>If you have 2 ounces of cream, you’ll want to add 2 ounces of pearl powder.<<<<<<
3) Internal Use
- A serving size internally is about 1 teaspoon and you can take up to 3 per day.
- Just mix the pearl powder with a little pure water and drink it down.
Some sources say to place the pearl powder under your tongue first and let it dissolve. Then rinse it down with water. Try a few different ways and see which you like best!
If you are using it internally, you have to make extra sure that you are getting pure Pearl Powder, with nothing added! That is crucial.
7 Reasons Soap Is the Worst Cleanser for Your Face (and What You Should Use Instead)
Most people use soap to wash their face and whole body. It is like social conditioning.
Let me tell you that being squeaky clean isn’t a good thing!
Here is why soap is the worst cleanser for your face:
1) It Dries the Skin. Harshly stripping the oils from your skin takes away it’s protective barrier. Oil protects and nourishes, keeps us looking young, and we want to keep it! Indeed you want to add oils to the skin.
2) Makes the Skin Overproduce Oil. After soap strips all the precious oils, the skin responds by producing more to compensate. In short, it throws the skins balance off.
3) Does Not Exfoliate. While harshly stripping oils, it does little for removing dead skin cells. This happens through exfoliation which requires more frictions. Cleansing grains are formulated with enough grit to accomplish exfoliation- I really like using amaranth.
4) Habit-Forming. Through the process of removing the oils that are protective and the skin rebounding by overproducing, it is natural to feel like you once again need to remove those oils with soap. Also though, I have head many people say they really like a good lather and have a hard time giving that up. The temporary “fresh” feeling soap gives is addictive.
5) Removes Probiotics. This is especially true if using any sort of antibacterial soaps. There is a tremendous ecosystem on our skin! It is good! Many of these are helpful bacteria that keep the others in check. Soap can remove them all and give not good ones more ground to grow.
6) Only Cleans the Surface. Soap has no drawing properties, like clays or honey. There is no cleansing of the deeper skin layers.
7) Accelerates Aging. With all of this, soap ends up being a very aging product. Youthing (anti-aging) practices include using oils liberally, exfoliating, respecting the balance of the skin.

5 Essential Reasons You Should Have a Beauty Ritual
I was talking with a friend recently and he was sharing about some skin concerns he is having. A very critical piece he’s missing is any sort of skin care ritual- rather he just wakes up and goes to bed without any preparation for the skin.
Maybe you do this too?
A few small beauty rituals could drastically help to heal your skin.
I have had rituals since I was young and started breaking out. Though I continued to break out- sign of internal imbalance- the habit of caring for my skin a.m. and p.m. was instilled.
Indeed, I feel sooo uncomfortable when I don’t do my ritual. Incomplete like.
Here are 5 ways having a routine can change your skin:
1) Resolve Skin Issues!
There are internal and external factors with skin issues. By having a routine you are addressing the external- and it can help big time. You can apply topical medicinal herbs, clays, oils, and essential oils to directly help to heal the issue.
2) Counter Redness and Decrease Inflammation
This is related to number one. Throughout the day, our skin is the proud protector from toxins we encounter- pollution. By washing and cleansing, we literally remove these particles and help our skin remain calm and able to do its job.
3) Celebrate Yourself
It is important to acknowledge yourself with rituals as an act of self-love. A beauty ritual is a fantastic time to do that. Express gratitude for your body and senses during your rituals.
4) Be More Attractive
Rituals are grounding and natural skin care is grounding. Grounding keeps us connected to Spirit and the Earth and its benefits are less stress, more power, and more joy. These all increase our magnetism and make us more visually attractive.
5) Feel Fresh
I definitely feel un-fresh if I don’t have a chance to care for my teeth, skin, and hair regularly. There is an icky energy that accumulates throughout the day and that is removed by self-care. And during the night, there is detoxifying going on so it is good to wash that off in the morning.
Do you have a beauty ritual? Please share!
